Philosophy

Architecture is a sensory experience.  Our work is aimed at amplifying the human condition - to carefully curate an architecture that is at once responsive to it's locale and climate but also it's user.  Our modern world blurs the line between the actual and the virtual.  The projects we take on are founded in the visceral condition of life and aim to provide a backdrop, a framework and/or scene for which life's experiences can play.  Drawing influence from textures, history, color, media and form - we seek to shape a physical construct that at once is at ease with it's environment yet challenges and drives for new intensities, ultimately creating new and endearing memories.

We are a collective of creative individuals with a common purpose; to enhance the built environment through the power of ideas.  Each project we take on has its own story, its own heritage and its own future.  Our team ensures the process is not only a journey, but a rewarding experience unto itself.  We will have fun creating.  And we will create something extraordinary together.

History

ATLAS was founded in 2015 by Brett Robillard.  The firm is dedicated to creating extraordinary projects for unique and spirited clients.  We select a limited number of projects each year.  This ensures we retain a highly personal experience and sustain the best level of service for our clients.  The firm has worked on a wide range of project types and in varying locales.  Brett is involved with each project and brings over three decades of experience in design.  A project with ATLAS is a complete experience.  We start with unorthodox means of identifying the project goals,  this includes figurative models, multi-media 'sketches', writings and artwork.  Within this context, the architectural vision is derived, and then amplified to tailor to our clients.  This is as rock and roll as design can get.  And we love it!

Our work ranges from the boutique to the grand.  The design process applies to projects both large and small, and results in evocative solutions that are celebrated for creativity while simultaneously enhancing our client's value in the asset.  We do not focus on a project type - we focus on a project result.
